Alexander Kaye is an artist born near Detroit Michigan, and currently residing in Los Angeles California. His artist practice was founded in writing and producing music and has since expanded into sound and visual art. He creates experimental music with modular synthesis, field recordings, audio manipulation, chance/aleatoric techniques, and traditional instrumentation. At the center of his experimental work is collaboration. Whether it is the participants in a meditation informing the live score, the performers and architecture of a dance work guiding the sounds, or virtual-reality art pieces that inspire the audio landscape, his creations are more than of him alone. They are of a collective creation.
