Casey MQ is a Canadian singer, songwriter, musician and producer whose music blurs the borders between ambient productions and melancholic soul, distorted club music and electronic pop. A classically-trained pianist, Casey was composer-in-residence at the Canadian Film Centre, subsequently going on to score original music for a number of films that have screened at TIFF, SXSW and Hot Docs Film Festival.

More recently, the Toronto-based artist released a collaborative EP, called For The Beasts, with Paris-based producer oklou on Permalnk in 2017. As a DJ, Casey has a monthly online radio show called “The Lightness of Being” on Montreal’s n10.as, which is a contemplative and reflective experience that often features guests from around the world. Casey is also a part of an up-and-coming collective called Raven’s Vision who host monthly queer parties in Toronto. Casey’s forthcoming solo debut EP, Nudes, is set for release via Creamcake on September 21.
