Chuquimamani-Condori is a multidisciplinary artist and musician belonging to the Pakajaqi nation of Aymara people. Blending traditional drums and ceremonial music from their Pakajaqueño family, their sound is full of harsh, colorful synths, and dissonance that recreates “the cacophony of the first aurora, the call of chuqi chinchay.” This “spiritual, boundary liquefying” music is further described by listeners as “astonishing in its unabashed emotional vulnerability and raw, chaotic, even violent noise overload.”
