Erica Scourti is an artist and writer, born in Athens and now based mostly in London. Her work explores biographical writing and bodily inscription in the performance and representation of subjectivity. Recent solo shows include “Chief Complaint” at Almanac and “Spill Sections” at StudioRCA in London, as well as group shows at the High Line in New York, Wellcome Collection and Hayward Gallery in London, EMST Athens and Kunsthalle Wien.

Scourti’s writing has been published in Ignota Press’ “Spells: 21st Century Occult Poetry” in 2018 and Sternberg’s “Fiction as Method” in 2017, amongst others. In 2019, she was also guest editor of the 11th issue of Happy Hypocrite journal, subtitled “Silver Bandage”, and resident at Rupert, Lithuania. Scourti is currently undertaking a practice-based AHRC-funded PhD in Goldsmiths’ Art Department.
