Golin creates compulsively detailed synthetic compositions with ethereal processed vocals in the form of euphoric J-pop hallucinations. The Japanese-American producer, performer, and artist blurs the lines between mainstream pop and envelope-pushing electronic music, recalling the cybernetic hyperpop experiments of SOPHIE, AG Cook, and like-minded innovators. Passionate and oddly baroque in its digital zeitgeist, she offers a musical perspective on the way art can mediate contemporary experiences of cultural and physical displacement. Golin self-produced her debut EP Momo—released via Belgian label Midlife Music—in 2017, quickly followed by a  collaboration with producer Buga on Fushigi via Shanghai’s Genome 6.66 Mbp the next year.  Following a two-year SHAPE residency at Beursschouwburg in Brussels, she dropped five-track EP, Crush, on Twin Records in 2020. She has since self-released three singles, featured on tracks by Himera and Varg2tm in 2022, and dropped her latest single, “One Touch,” on Year0001’s  Rift Two compilation.
