Kerstin Honeit was born in Berlin, where she still lives and works.
She studied Fine Art and Theatre Design at the Kunsthochschule Weißensee in Berlin. Between 2014-2019 Honeit has been teaching together with Bjørn Melhus at the Kunsthochschule Kassel.
Using video work, performance and installation in her artistic research, Honeit examines worlds of hegemonic image production within the medias of information technology as well as within pop culture. Intervening at the boundaries of representation and reception, she questions the construction of social norms.
