Timur Tokdemir (aka Mechatok) hails from Munich but now calls Berlin his home. With his debut EP, See Thru, the young producer exhibited a rare gift of honing a distinct and unique style at quite a young age. For this five-track release, Tokdemir created his own abstract and minimal take on pop, combining elements of ambient, stripped-down, yet addictive hooks and mind-bending textures. The title-track was accompanied by a magical video shot by Palmistry’s Benjy Keating on the stairs of Athens’ Panathenaic Stadium. Mechatok also attracted attention thanks to the single ‘Still Life’ (co-produced with Toxe), which was part of the score for the Kenzo FW 2016 prints presentation. His sophomore EP Skies Of Tomorrow is out via Lorenzo Senni’s Presto!? label in May 2018.
