Ruben Spini is a Milan-based multimedia artist and editor with a background in software engineering. His practice is based in open-format research around the themes of communicability and perception, developed in the traditions of religious poetry and information theory. As a visual artist, the main subject of Spini’s work is the relationship between the passage of time and landscape, especially in its upper half: skywriting, weather forecasting, nephelomancy—the romantic language between atmospheric events and the eye of the beholder. As an editor, he is especially interested in private forms of writing, usually germinating outside the thin spectrum of the publishing market.
