Rising Chicago star Sasha Go Hard is a rapper who defies the typical stereo types of female vocalists, with Gangsta Boo influence and raw beauty. The 21-year old artist pulsed through the Chicago Rap scene alongside Chief Keef in 2012, and spits raunchy, punishing battle rhymes while maintaining a hint of vulnerability and charm through her boasting lyrics. In her recently released video, “Own Lane,” Sasha reflects on her past with childhood pictures, a contemplative drive through the streets of Chicago and a touching reenactment that ends with the rapper telling her mom to “Smile, Ma, I promised that I’d get us”.
