Windowseeker, a.k.a Lukas Oppenheimer, is a Berlin-based interdisciplinary musician and artist whose work in pop and experimental music has earned him a spot in a growing contemporary scene of ambient techno. Connecting his interest in the visual cultures of the internet, data visualization, and live encounters to sound, Oppenheimer aims to create what he describes as “a place of hope, solitude, grief, and growth. Sonic exercises in love, compassion, bliss, and trust.”

More recent releases, Silicate Squeak and Spiral to Success, lean into trippy takes on 2000s IDM and electronica. Paired with the minimalist, psychedelic visual aesthetics of that era, Oppenheimer’s own multimedia approach to music and performance reflects the Y2K focus on immersive installation at the rave.
