YUI is a Berlin-based (by way of Tokyo) DJ whose sets are characterized by the multi-layered nature of Japanese pop culture. These experiments trampoline between J-pop to choral music, jazz to chiptune, bootlegs to spoken word, delivering inexpressible emotional layers. 

YUI has hosted radio shows like Cashmere Radio, Nood Radio, NTS, and Radio Alhara, and performed at venues such as Panke and Sameheads in Berlin, and Tokyo’s Space. She also organizes a series of small cave events, called “no fake id,” which aim to only represent real identities.
