CREAMCAKE is looking for Production & Programming / Communication Interns

July – November 2026

We are looking for Production & Communication / Programming interns to join the team for our annual 3hd festival program. The duration of the internship is flexible, ranging from 3 to a maximum of 6 months, with the core period covering the lead-up to and duration of our annual 3hd festival in late October and early November.

This call is aimed at students who are required to complete an internship as part of their degree program.

Internship Tasks: Communication & Programming

  • Assist with conceptual development of the festival program
  • Conduct research on relevant programs and artists
  • Assist with funding applications
  • Assist with press releases, social media and newsletters
  • Assist with website updates and maintenance

Internship Tasks: Production

  • Support travel and hotel bookings
  • Assist in creating schedules and artist itineraries
  • Help prepare and manage contracts and related administrative tasks
  • Request and compare quotes
  • Support stage management and general festival operations

You should be/have:

  • A current undergraduate student enrolled in a university
  • An interest in the international contemporary art scene, including club culture and performance
  • The ability to work cooperatively while also demonstrating initiative and accountability
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge Microsoft Office and internet research
  • Proficiency in English and German 
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a team, including extended hours during the festival period
  • An organized and structured working style

Applicants are ideally studying curation, communication, cultural or event management, art, music, or media studies—or have completed relevant training. 

This internship is intended for students completing a mandatory internship as part of their degree.

Duration: 3-6 months between 15, July, 2026 and 1 November, 2026, structures as follows:

Applicants must be based in Berlin throughout the internship period.

  • 15 July – mid-August: Communication task phase, 2.5 days per week
  • Mid-August – October: Communication & Production tasks, 4 days per week
  • From October onwards: Full-time

Remuneration: €400 net per month
The workload averages 4 days per week, increasing to full-time from mid-September through the festival period, and decreasing again afterward.
