Akinola Davies Jr. is a multidisciplinary film and video artist known for directing music videos for artists such as Blood Orange, Klein, Kate Tempest and Farai, as well as his award-winning short film, “Unity is Strength” for Kenzo. Davies  Jr. is currently working on the documentary series Black to Life: Rethinking the Black Presence within British History for the BBC, and is part of London music collective PDA.
He counts Vogue US, Nowness and Telfar as clients, while presenting as part of the For Better Or Worse group exhibition at Kunstverein Göttingen, as well as solo shows at Basel’s 1.1, Les Urbaines in Lausanne and Washington’s Dupont Underground. Exploring themes of race, identity, gender, and inclusion within his work, Davies Jr. tells the stories that bridge the gap between traditional and millennial communities.
