Gala Rexer is a feminist researcher, PhD candidate in sociology and freelance journalist. Seeing the body as a locus of political construction, Gala is interested in what is permissible to do to the body and who has the authority to decide. In her research, she is working on the biopolitical function of reproductive technologies (such as IVF or surrogacy) and reproductive justice in Germany, UK and Israel/Palestine. She reads, writes and thinks about postcolonial/queer/feminist theories, cyberfeminism, (post)secularism and the internet.
