Felicity Mangan is an Australian sound artist and composer based in Berlin since 2008. In different situations such as solo performance, collaborative projects with other musicians, or installation, Mangan plays her found native Australian wildlife archive and other field recordings, exploring the timbre and forms of found and self-recorded animal voices while mimicking biorhythms to create minimal quasi-bioacoustic environments. Mangan has played in collaborative projects, including electro-acoustic bug beat duo Native Instrument (Shelter Press, Entr’acte) with vocalist Stine Janvin Joh and Plants and Animalia with Christina Ehrl-Shirley. She has recently released a solo publication ‘Creepy Crawly’ on Slovakian label Mappa Editions.
